Jace and Lily

Oh, the personalities oozing from these two. I told Jace to look for the monkey in my camera and he's still asking his mom why the monkey never came out. I felt kinda bad. Because I lie. To children.

These two are cousins to these girls. And we did the shoot at their house. I think I've mentioned before, pictures at home can be a great way to get kids who may not do as well somewhere unfamiliar. I just chased them around their house, cornered them by windows, and lied to them about monkeys in my camera.
Jenny and Pete--you've done well so far. Keep 'em comin'.

This picture is soooo their life. Lily on the run, and Jace doing whatever it is that Jace does. The kid is hilarious.

My favorite!

He's doing some wicked-sweet superhero moves right here in case you couldn't tell.

Lest you think I asked him to pose for the cover of GQ, I didn't. He was just doin' his thing.

Best fake sad face I've seen yet.

I really like this one too. Cool light.

And a little unsolicited testimonial from their momma (she sent it to me in an e-mail, and yes, I asked her permission to post it here):
"Thank you for coming and taking the pictures. I am really excited and I really enjoyed the session. I always dread taking pictures because I have always gone to some store and the kids are miserable and I am sweating and it is a nightmare for me. Today was great! I wasn't uptight and I had lots of fun with the kids. You are really great with them. I also think it will be fun having the pictures here at our house- since this is where we always are. "
That's how we roll. Stress-free. Lots of fun!!

Now offering MORE FUN!!!

It's time. The newest session in the "studio": the funbooth. And believe me, it's fun.
Designed after the photobooth's we all love. Only you don't have to squeeze into a small box that smells weird and is breeding disease.

Stress-free. All fun. Fast (only takes 30-45minutes). Kid friendly (even wild and crazy kids). No rules. Do and be whatever you want.

The results are unique and fun. Tons of cool ways to display the final products.

And did I mention it's fun!!

Great for families who want something a little different. Or if mom and dad aren't feelin' crazy, we can just do the kids. Or a group of cousins (great gift for grandma and grandpa!). Or a group of friends. Or a kid all alone. Or couples. Or. . . .

For pricing and a more detailed explanation of the funbooth, e-mail me.

And to kick things off, the first 5 people to book a funbooth session before March 11th (session has to take place sometime before June1st) will get a $50 print credit.
Take a look at the first family photobooth session.

Ideas for displays:

Big photo strips. These would look awesome on a long wall, or even hanging on the fridge.

Square prints for a kids bedroom wall:

I had my buddy Mike from the digital orange do some for my family and here's what I did with ours. Nine 11x14 prints on standout boards.

Standout boards are hard and ready to hang. They stick out 3/4" from the wall and are black on the sides. Such a cool way to display pictures.

Or you could put all the pics into an album. The choices are endless. Well maybe not endless, but there's a lot of possibilities.

The funbooth. It's for fun people!
Comments and feedback always appreciated! Let me know what you think.

Sales and Use Tax.

Any photographers out there wondering about Sales and Use tax, E-mail me. I asked a handful of photographers as well as 3 different accountants about sales and use and got different answers every time. Frustrating.
But now. Now I know. So if you don't know when of if you're supposed to pay sales and use taxes, e-mail me and I'll tell you what I know. Because you'll want to know. To avoid what I now have to do. Lame.
Boo on taxes.

**Updated to add: If you have already booked a session with me, my old prices will apply.**
It's final. The changes have been made. Want to know what? Check out the website for further details. Some changes in pricing. Discs will still be available. But now you'll have something to show instead of an expensive disc that gets lost with all the other discs in your house.
I'm the type of person that likes to provide quality over quantity. So that's what we're going for here. Quality.
I'm excited and happy with where things are headed. I'm still tweaking things here and there, so there may be a few more little changes in the weeks to come, but we've got a good start.
And later this week I'll be posting about a new session I'll be offering. It's all about F.U.N!
So check back peeps.
I'm out.

Bring on spring.

Last fall we spent a weekend in sin-city. And spent an entire Saturday watching 4 different soccer games. Because all four kids from this family play soccer. And their parents coach 3 of the 4 teams. Complete craziness.
I'm soooo ready for spring sports to start! YEAH!

**If you have kids that play sports, e-mail me for a sports pricing sheet (with no obligations of course--I'm not an obligations sort of person), and samples of posters.**

**If you want to book a session for early spring/summer, e-mail me soon. My Saturdays fill up fast with sports.**

**I promise this is my last "starred" sentence. I tell people to e-mail me instead of call, because it's easier to get ahold of me that way. I don't always answer phone numbers I don't recognize (don't act like you don't do it too) and if I do, one of my girls will inevitably start screaming in the background. So e-mail it is. But you can always try me on the phone. You might get a shrieking surprise on the other end.** End of stars. Enjoy the post.

Love this one.

And this little guy got a hat-trick plus one. Sweet.
