Jessica. Senior.

My cousin once removed. Or something like that. She's graduating, right Jessica? :)
And thanks to her mom for being my assistant. I gotta get me one of those. Anyone interested?

The Back's

When your husbands boss calls you a few hours before he needs pictures taken of his whole family who happen to be in town at the same time, you say "yes". No question.
Regardless of him being the man that helps us keep food on our table, I would have said yes anyway. 'Cause I sure love this family. One of the most awesomest families I know.
We had approximately 25 minutes to get it all done. As the sun quickly set, members of the family sped into the driveway and ran to get in the pictures just in time.

Back's--if I didn't love my family so much, I might try to adopt into yours. Thanks for a fun 25 minutes!

Check out the hand over the baby's mouth. Love it.

Suckers in both hands and he still wasn't having it.

The magic behind it all.

Home, sweet home.

I'm back. And it. was. awesome. Tons of information, good times, cool people. And the Kaisers are even cooler than they appear from their blog. I'll be posting more from the workshop later.

For now, one from a senior session I did a few weeks ago. I'm generally not a "railroad tracks" shooter, but this was kind of a fun twist on the typical. And in case anyone's wondering, it's slightly painful to straddle that thing while trying to balance and take a steady picture. And it's very, very dirty.
jessica--they're on the way.

I'm out.

I'll be in Oceanside, CA for a few days attending the Image is Found workshop. Woo. Hoo. I'll be returning all e-mails and phone calls when I get back on Thursday.
Peace out.

26.2 and 13.1

Just wanted to give a shout out to my sister-in-law and brother-in-law who ran the Salt Lake City Marathon and half-marathon this past weekend. They both finished with awesome times. Bec finished the half-marathon under two hours and despite my warnings, she ran the entire race without drinking water or eating. She's crazy.
And Matt finished the marathon in 3 hours!!! He finished 25th overall in a race of over 1000 people. Pretty awesome!
Great job guys. I'll be with you next year. :)

Anyone out there who hasn't run a marathon, you should do it. It's an unforgettable experience. Partially because you're in a lot of pain, but more importantly because it's quite an accomplishment!

Elsie

Sweet new baby of some of my favorite people in the world, Cameron and Haans. Her parents are just good, good people. The kind of people you can always count on, who kill it on the soccer field, and who can make you pee your pants with laughter.
Elsie is bound to be awesome. We'll give her a few months before we get her out training on the soccer field.

I loooooove this shot. The squishy face kills me.

This is Cami's stuffed animal from when she was a baby. She spruced it up for little Elsie's arrival which is saying alot. Cami was VERY protective of her Bella (is that her name--I can't remember). This stuffed animal has been held hostage more than once by some of Cami's more unsensitive friends (Jenna, Nickell--I'm talking to you guys).

The Scmidt fam. . .

. . .together again.
I've known Katie forever. We grew up by each other and her mom was one of my "spiritual advisors". I blame her for the way I turned out. :) Her mother has also saved my life (seriously) more than once giving me IV's at home so I didn't have to stay in a hospital. Sure do love her.
It was cold outside. In Utah. I know, weird. So we hung out in the JSM building and briefly ventured outside. Followed by a small paparazzi. Seriously. A small crowd was taking pictures of these little girls. You can probably see why. It felt like I was back in Hawaii with my two little blonde-haired, blue-eyed girls followed by half the island of Japan snapping pictures.
Katie and Dean, I wish you nothing but the best!

Tell Lilly Hi for me. :)
